Merry Christmas!

Tomorrow, our four weeks in Basel are over. It has been exciting and we have learnt so much. We have worked a lot, visited the Paul Klee Museum in Bern and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, gone hiking in the countryside around Basel, eaten tasty Italian at ‘la Mama’, and during the week worked mornings and afternoons. We have helped with the production of the spheres at the furnace, then sanded, silvered, cleaned and packed them up. In November, right at the start, Matteo had said that we have to manage one sculpture per week and we’ve almost managed it. Three are done and the fourth will be finished very soon – maybe by tomorrow. Then it’ll be Christmas and New Year. We’re really looking forward to a break and some relaxing time before we continue on to the Netherlands.
